With around 450,000 visitors – including more than 100,000 from overseas, the recent Agritechnica show provided Vicon with the ideal showcase for the latest developments in bale equipment.
Hot on the heels of last season’s launch of the RV 5200 series variable balers, the new Auto Feed Control system was previewed fitted to an RV5216. This patented system sees the chamber filling indicators interacting with the Auto Feed Control system, automatically shifting the baler position to the right or left hand side to ensure an ideal chamber filling pattern, providing easier and more relaxing operation for operators.
The show was the first opportunity customers had to view the newly launched RF 4000 series fixed chamber balers, which feature a wide range of updates, including the introduction of the super-fast PowerBind net system on a fixed chamber baler for the first time.
Agritechnica also marked the launch of the Optispeed option on selected turntable wrapper models, which sees the introduction of twin film dispensers and the addition of a clever new system to optimise turntable rotation speed, features which combine to give a useful boost in output.
As could be expected with its first appearance in Germany, FastBale attracted huge interest at the show. Staff on the stand were kept busy explaining the multiple benefits that FastBale offers, with its non-stop operation and innovative wrapping system, combined in a compact package which is smaller than many conventional baler wrapper combinations.
Agritechnica served as a timely reminder as to the leading position Vicon is now taking in the bale equipment market sector.
